Alright, I've modded 10 or so boxes in the last 6 - 8 months, and all have worked fine. Except one.

The guy called me with probs the other day, I replaced the HD, but no luck.

Here's the symptoms:

Flashing mode works on bank 1, but on bank 2 I just get FRAG w/o flubber
When I swap the chip and/or HD out for a one I'm SURE works, FRAG w/o flubber
When I take everything out of it, or disable the chip, FRAG w/o flubber.

is it the EEPROM? And is there anyway to fix it?

cheers

Bo

no error screens with or without the chip installed.

And its a solderless xapter install, so there's no solder splashes.

ok check it, what chip are you flashing?, its not the eeprom if you are not having problems with the chip disabled, also what version motherboard are you using? Sounds like a bad bios flash.

I dont see how iys bios if its fragging on his MS dash as well without the chip. My best guess without it in front of me is that little spring wire on the xapter ate his D0 up from the xbox moving around.

flashing an xecuter 2.6 with solderless xapter, but I've already swapped out the chip for my own working xecuter 2.6 with the same results. And its not working with the chip disabled.
