Alright

I have installed 2.3 xecuters before

I was modding two xbox and didnt want to risk anything with soldering just because.

So i went with the solderless 2.6 ce
Figured i had good xp with them before

So im installing line up the adapter screw it in sink it down
plug in chip and nothing no lights or anything

So i repeat this process on both xboxs and both chips and nothing would work

so i give in and do a wire install on one but got to the d0 point and reconsidered
cut the wire off the solderless adapter, soldered it to the d0 wire, clicked it in d0 and gave it some hot glue loving

works great, flash the chip and in 100%

now on the other xbox im prepared to do the same thing

then i come across a different picture of how the chip plugs in

turns out i need to pay more attention and plug things in right
i was plugging it in with the top pins lining up with the top holes not doing it with the bottom pins lining with bottom holes like im supposed to

see 3rd pic from bottom - http://www.kanection.co.uk/page.php?xPage=xapterinstall.html

so that made xbox #2 work great

when the chip was plugged in wrong xbox would come on, reboot 3 times and the red orange.

Xecuter 2.6 is a nice chip i take it back
