I have just installed a network card in my PC and have connected it to my xbox with a crossover cable. Evox set up with static IP 192.168.0.2 and PCwith 192.168.0.1 as per all the advice I can find. My PC reports that my 1394 Connection is connected at 400Mbps. I can PING localhost fine but nothing else works. FlashFXP will not connect..... what am I doing wrong??? What settings do I need in WinXP in order to get this to work???? IT's SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

do you have a firewall running? also go into the advanced setting of ur nic that is connected to the xbox and make sure that the "internet connection firewall" is not enabled.

That is the wrong connection. Your 1394 connection is probably firewire since that is the speed firewire runs at. The max speed that you will see on your ethernet connection will be 100mb/s.
Are your subnets the same? i.e. are they both 255.255.255.0 ? |
