I am trying to mod my xbox v1.1 with an aladdin xt 4032. All this chip came with was pin-headers. I have de-soldered the lpc holes and installed the pin-header. I cannot get this chip to work, and after searching here and on google I cannot find any help to my problem. I am wondering if there are any alternate points that I need to solder wires to, or is just the pin-headers enough to make this chip work? Thanks for any advice

you need to solder a wire from the d0 pad on the chip to the d0 point on teh motehrboard, also a wire fromt eh BT pad ont eh chip to the BT point on the motherboard

you dont need to use l1 or l2 unless you want the eject LED to indicate chip statis and HD activity

I have a wire from d0 on the mobo to the do pad on the chip, a wire from the bt on the chip to bt point on the mobo, and the pin-headers installed. When i start my xbox its error 5 (hd locked). Why is this chip not working?

well, if your getting that screen, then there is one thing for certain, your d0 is NOT grounded properly, check your d0 carefully. if your d0 is perfect and there is a problem on an LPC point, your xbox will reset twice and frag since the d0 is being grounded but the system can't find a bios on the LPC bus.

Where does the d0 have to be grounded?
