Last week I installed a Aladdin XT 4032 in my Xbox and it worked right away, no issues.

Last night my buddy brought me his Xbox to install the same chip. He ordered it from the same place. The chip is pre-flashed for a V1.6 (samsung memory).

Did everything the same way. Wont work at all...

I did read a few pages of topics but didn't find anything like this.

If I it the power for ~1sec, the led will turn orange but as soon as I let it go it will turn back to green and will boot like the chip isn't there. If I hold the power for more then 3 sec the Xbox will just turn off.

I rechecked everything and redid most of the soldering spot. Checked the wires for continuity and they're all OK.

Any ideas!?

Thanks!

1.You did rebuild the lpc right?
2.It could be one of those pesky aladdins that have a cpld issue....id blame it on the manufactuers(sp?) lack of caring whether there chips work or not.

Yes I did rebuild the LPC. I double checked it and redid the soldering twice.

I followed this how to : http://www.antonjarl.com/AladdinXT/BTandL1.html which is the same as the diagram in the modchip table 3b and this the same I used last week for my xbox.

I guess the modchip is a doa sad.gif
