Topgear Rpm, At all like the old Topgear series? Options

I loved the old Top Gear series on SNES (and n64 too). I liked the 2 player mode where you both competed to get first place and if one of you got first place you would move on. You could then spend you money on buying gear and you keep competing. I also liked how there was secret paths,etc.

I just read about the new Top Gear RPM by Kemco. Is it at all related to the old Top Gear series (I forget who put that one out.. was it Konami maybe??). I read in a preview that there will be secret paths (which is good but alone isn't enough to be like the old one since other games have this already).

Personally, I don't really like the 2 player modes as much in other games... Burnout 3 seems too challenging for leisure gamers (but, not that I played the 1 player mode now, I realize how to beat the computers better)..


Anyway, what game would most relate to the old Top Gear series.. hopefully this new game will be similar.
