What hard drive do you have? You have to make sure that it is lockable first.

It is a WD 160JBRTL, now I had asked if it matered that my HDD was not on the list for what worked with the 1.6b, and whom ever replied said that it dosen't matter. Is this why I can't lock my HDD. AM I putting the backup file in the right spot? Do I have to take the info out of the backup folder and put it anyware?

You ask if it work with a 1.6b xbox that why people say it doesn't matter. Any IDE ATA Hard Drive with work but is it lockable that another question. About the backup files, Put it where you got it from. If you got it from the old hdd C folder put it in the new hdd C folder.
