First of all, I would like to thank the xbox-scene.com staff and community for providing a wonderful xbox resource. beerchug.gif

I have a question and a slight problem. I recently finished my 3rd xbox mod. My first 2 were hard modded, so this is my 1st softmod experience. I just soft modded a 1.6 for a coworker using the UXE auto installer. Everything installed fine and I have everything running great. I did a led light color mod using 2 bi-color blue, red leds. I have avalaunch setup to run the blue led on idle, however, I would like my xbox games to keep the led blue and this is not occurring. It is however producing a purplish led color, which I assume is the equivalent of the original orange led color while games play. For reference, the UXE auto installer setup my bios to be the Evox M8_16. I have tried using EvTool 1.0.9 to edit the bios, but it says it is an 'unrecognized bios' and doesn't allow me to edit the bios. Am I using the correct tool? If I am is there a better tool to use for this bios?

Actually, the error is "unsupported kernel(1.00.5838.01)" when the bios is loaded via EvTool. Would it be better to downgrade to an older kernel?

EVTOOL 1.0.9 is ONLY for the M8plus bios. Get yourself version 1.0.8 and it will work on the straight M8 bios.
