I accidentally flashed over the cromwell bios on a 2.6CE. I bought a programmer-X and am having problems connecting to the chip. X2 bios manager ver 2.3 says chip not connected, error 0x0900. If I turn the chip off, I get an error of 0xDDDD. The all lights including the blue light comes on when windows boots, but once I try to connect with the bios manager it goes off. If I try to connect as a pro chip, the light just flashes very lightly and gives an error code of 0x1010 switching to 0x0000 and back. What are the wires that came with the programer for? The plugs do not match up to any on the chip. Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!

I am running XP and have tried on a 98 machine with similar results.

usual question, do you have the switch attached to the chip? gotta have it, led on the switch should be green red green
and the chip should be lit up blue led
X2BM should recognize the chip as a 2.3 lite, no matter programs fine evn though its a 2.6

Switches are hooked up and alll lights are on. Programer is also plugged directly in LPT port-- not a cable prob.

I'm right there with'ya xdownfor20. I've got the same problem, just with the 2.6lite. Both the red and green LEDs on the programmer light up as well as the blue LED on the mod chip. The chip is set to enabled, flash protect off, and bank 1. I have the programmer plugged straight into the paralell port (no cable or anything). When I bring up the X2 bios manager v2.3 the blue LED on the programmer continually flashes but will not detect the chip. I have verified the LPT port address as well. There doesn't seem to be any documentation on error codes or anything with this programmer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
