 Xbox Live ?, the chip and HD ? |

Alright, I know I know its a live question, but I'm a newb, so I decided to post it here, to play xbox live do I NEED to lock my hard drive or do I ONLY have to switch my chip off ? Thankyou
ALSO My brother took my halo2 to Florida, ....(i'm gonna get him for that) can I use my Halo2 backup on live without risk of getting banned ??? Thankyou (X2) -Grout  This post has been edited by Grout: Feb 5 2005, 07:31 AM |

M$ has got really good at spotting modded xboxs so good no one knows exactly how there nailing everyone, No you can not use any kind of back up and switching your chip off most likely wont guard you, unless your rather "l33T" and know what your doing stay well away from xbox live with a modded xbox.

No, No and NO You need a hacked bios to run backups as the M$ kernel does not run backups you cant use them as you need the M$ kernel to get onto live without getting banned. Hope it helps -Leafz |

Just untill you learn what M$ is doing to ban people (ie Marriage Theroy 101), and untill you get a retail copy of halo2. There is XBconnect or XLINK kai for an alternate live you know.

ok, I've read all the stuff on xbox live with modded xbox's, and this is what I've come up with, please TELL ME if I'm wrong or if I'm missing anything vital
*Xbox Live Use* -lock HD using Config Magic (you will still be able to get to any dashboard with this disabled, just not the games on your HD) -Turn off modchip (Once the switch on your modchip is set to 'off' you can only access MS dashboard) -To 'unlock' you HD, turn on modchip, and go to Config Magic and unlock you HD Tip:-Backups cannot be used while modchip is off, so in order to play xbox live, you must have a retail copy of the game you wish to play - If you access Xbox Live while the modchip is ON, you will be banned Am I right or wrong with this ?
