The chip on the motherboard that you connect the BT cable to on the motherboard fell of yesterday and I was wanting to know is their any alternate point that I can use for the BT cable. The other end is mounted onto the motherboard. The L1 is connected from the modchip L1 to the place on the motherboard where it is suposed to go. The d0 is mounted on the motherboard and the other end is to the modchip.

I think I am doing everything right, but I need to know an alternate point to put the BT cable??? any thoughts?

You'll need to replace that resistor.

There are pics of alternate BT for aladdin on the site in my sig
You will as mentioned have to fit another 10k resistor in place of the one that came off or the box will power up as soon as its plugged in.

Should I just get a replacement motherboard or should I try to get the 10k resistor?

If I don't do anything to the resistor...will I be able to work my modchip?

Install the mod as always on and the box without the resistor will power on by itself but the chip will work. I would not buy another board just for the sake of the resistor.

A replacement motherboard will run you around $80+ shipped..A resistor around $0.10-$1.00, I don't about you but I find replacing the resistor would a more smarter thing to do..
