Hi

After searching and reading some tutorials I believe the best solution for softmod+live in the same xbox is to have two hard drives (hd1 unmodded, hd2 softmodded) and a switch.

I have this 2.5" gb hard disk from a crashed laptop, I would like this disk to be the unmodded one but its capacity is only 4gb, can I create these partitions and it would be ok? :

c: 500 mb
e: 1250 mb
x: 750 mb
y: 750 mb
z: 750 mb

Or the minimum is 8 gb hard disk?

I believe w/ the way the partitions are setup, you must have a certain size drive but I'm not sure if it has to be 8gb.

I believe the only way to get around the 8GB minimum would be to have a custom partition table (not completely sure on this, but I think it should work), but you'd need a modchip or tsop flash to do that.

Otherwise, a dual HDD mod is probably the best way to go, especially if you want Live.
