Hey guys, i posted this question in XBE forum but I'm thinking I should have posted here, so here goes:

I have my xbox softmodded using the ltools splinter cell ude exploit(I'm using UDE2). It's setup to dual boot--tray closed EVOX/tray open ltools. I'd like to keep ltools on open tray as a backup but would like XBMC to replace evox as my closed tray dash.

I tired replacing the default.xbe in the E:dashboard folder with the xbmc one, as well as copying the xbmc.xml file over. I even edited the <home>tage to point to the proper folder. Still when I boot up it goes to the evox dash. I'm guessing the problem lies either in me leaving the evox.ini in the e:dashboard or by not renaming the default to evox.xbe(based on my bios).
Any idea what I'm missing?

Thanks for the help--now that I've started tweaking XBMC I'm absolutely loving it.

JASON

That's what I thought, but I've searched everywhere--there is no evoxdash.xbe. There is only default.xbe in the e:dashboard folder. If I replace the default.xbe and rename it to evoxdash.xbe will my bios then catch it?

Thanks

I made a couple of threads about editing dualboot options in an effort to get XBMC as a dash. Check them out.

Hey Talus thanks---for some reason I didn't come across these threads in my search. In the end it turns out I had done it right the first time but missed one thing--not sure which it was:1) I deleted the original evox.ini which I forgot to do the first time and 2)In the xbmc.xml I forgot to put the last '\' in the home tag. Either way xbmc is now my main dash and I have the ltools installer as my open tray dash in case I have any problems--love it! Now I just need to change the 'my programs' button to 'my games'--shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks to all who helped out-again!
