OK it's finished. I put the speakers on the outside as there was just no more room inside. The hole in the lower section is so that the volume control can be used from the mini amp I have installed.

I only have 3 minor problems...

A little noise in the display (only on LCD with the LCD off it displays fine on the TV so I think the LCD is just picking up noise from being in close proximity to the fans and whatnot in the case. It's not real bad but noticable.

A little noise in the speakers. See first problem. wink.gif

This one is annoying, blinking power light. I assume it is because of having no DVD. I have tried both X2 4983 and Evox M8 both do the same. It boots fine but that blinking light will drive you nuts.

OK on with the pics. It's still a bit dust but I have to clean it up before shipping it off to it's new owner.

that's awesome, u always find a way to make something impressive. I'm workin on mine and I had a question. How did you wire it so that you can have the LCD, and then also hook up to a Tv? I'm trrying to figure it out and not sure how to do it. Any help would be great.

First drawing in this post

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=213487

Jumpered pins 9 and 10, wired pin 21 to gnd and pin 23 to a switch and to the LCD. I found that with both TV and LCD on the picture was dark so if using the TV just flip a switch and the LCD turns off.

No X2VGA uses the Component signals vice Composite that I said for the 7" LCD. There's enough info in that post though. You could use the X2 VGA hooked up to the AV port then the wires I said above hooked up to a female RCA jack then just plug the TV input into the RCA jack.

About your eject button blinkage.

I had the same problem with my X-tendo mod. But I used XBTool to edit the eject button light sequence and I also edited the bios so that the XBOX would not look for the dvd drive.

That fixed my problem. Oh. . . and I was running M7 on it at the time.

Oh. . . and you know your mod better than I do. You say the fans are causing the noise in the LCD display. . . but you may want to reroute or shield your video cables so that they are not near the power cable that supplies current to the fan, and definitely make sure your cables are not near the fan's oscillating motor. That may help.

Hmmm. . . actually I'm liking the "no video cable" answer to the blinking light. I'd retract my statement, but apparently, I cannot find the "edit post" button in this old internet explorer browser view.

birdtales: what did u use to cover up the interior? Is that made out of plastic? I'm in the process of making one of my own, but if i can use plastic instead of wood with thin fabric, it would be better.
