Ok I ordered 1 chip from themodstore.com.. and another from diveneo(?)

The one I got from themodstore .. was totally screwed up. Either it was already broke.. or the DHL shipping broke it. When it came in the mail 4 of the wires were broke off.. I guess this wouldn't be a problem if I actually had a soldering iron. But then would I buy a no solder mod? yea.... grr.gif

The one I got from Divineo was packaged really well. No broken wires.. and everything was fine. I left a nice little comment on my order saying PLEASE SHIP GOOD.. extra padding etc. They did.. and it was fine like I said.

Thing is.. everything was cool until I went to install. It took me forever to get some of the holes to open. 2 of them had some green stuff (motherboard lamanent?) in them. I had to use a needle to get it out. I finally got every wire in but 1.. which is the closest one to the chip. So you kinda have to bend it all weird to get it in the hole. Not to mention.. this was one of the holes I had to clear out.. GD MS. So I'm trying to get it in the hole... and oh whats this IT BROKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! blink.gif grr.gif muhaha.gif

I'm sending one of them back... the one that was ALREADY broke when I got it. But the one I got from Divineo.. I'm trying to use superglue to put it back on laugh.gif

Something tells me its not going to work. I may just order another one... if it don't work er.. I'll send it back. And only be out of oh.. 40-60$ depending on if they gimme money back for overnight shipping.

First...spiderchips suck and are notorious for breaking when trying to install

Second...I have never heard of a company that refunds shipping (why did you want it so fast for anyway)

Third...There are many solderless solutions out there and you can always get someone to solder if for much cheaper than it is costing you now. Most people charge $20-30 for install.

So I pay for shipping.. to send it to someone to install for 30$..

So what about 100$ altogether for the mod, shipping, insurance, mod install few..

I cannot believe after having no joy with 2 you are actually considering another one.
