Hello everyone,

I have a friend that has an old Enigmah final modchip in his box and does not want to replace it with a newer one. He is not confident enough to remove it and solder another one in place. I did a little reading and it seems that the Phoneix Bios loader can be used to load, say, a newer bios like Xecuter to take the place of the enigmah. Is this possible? Some time in the future he would like to install a larger hard drive. However, for the mean time just being able to run more code and having such features like the soft reset would be sufficient.

If anyone could explain how it could be done with an older modchip such as this or to give some comments on why it may not be a good idea would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help!
