I've got a ver 1.6 xbox with a SST 49LF020A / LC4032 in it already flashed with m8_16.bin, is this able to be flashed from the xbox with any bios that wont cause the "reset on eject" problem. What is the best bios to use? I hear that m8plus_16 doesn't work on this chip, is this right? Cheers beerchug.gif

Download M8_LBA48_IGR.rar from xbins under directory

/XBOX/bios/evolution-x/MULTI_VERSION/_unofficial/

Extract M8_16_LBA48_IGR_Q-06.bin from the rar archive and use it to flash your Aladdin XT 4032.

Thanks, I did just that. I used sunday flash to write the new bios, it seems to have worked, but when I push eject it's still resetting back to the MS dash?

Only way to fix this is to enable allways on. But if you want xbox live then you will have to live with it.

Note: it's not the bios at fault here it's the cpld code was changed to support the 49lf020a chips and the ability to reboot to hacked bios was removed , i guess they ran out of memory on the LC4032V chip. So it doesn't remember the previous state anymore.

For allways on mode just link BT to ground on chip and cut lframe trace !

do a search or 2

Instead of permanently set to always on, you can also solve the IGR and "reset/reboot to original bios" problem by installing an external SPST switch to connect/disconnect BT on mod chip to Gnd:

Switch open - BT open and disable mod chip so original bios can boot

Switch closed - BT shorted to Gnd and results in always on mode

For the above to work, the LFRAME of v1.6/1.6b motherboard must be connected to D0 on mod chip.

IMHO, this is the best solution to Aladdin XT 4032's "always reboot/reset to MS original bios" problem.
