The X-Chip Lite is the little brother of the X-Chip. It offers much of the same features that the X-Chip does for a fraction of the cost.

The X-Chip Lite and the board that connects outside the box comes connected when you first receive the package. You simply snap the board along the groove and it separates with ease. The chip itself is very compact and with a thick board makes the chip very durable.

Installation via the pinheader is very straight forward. The D0 is a simple hole on the board and with a dab of solder it securely connected. They did not supply the wire from the D0 (top or bottom) for the modchip so you will have to make one which is a little disappointing to the end consumer.

Installation for a 1.6 was also disappointing as they do not supply any type of Rebuild board so you will have to rebuild it yourself.

Installation via the Solderless adapter was simple enough with their Solderless Adapter which worked as it should. You will need to solder if you have a 1.6( a, b ) as their solderless adapter is not designed for it.

The chip comes pre-flashed with a new Cromwell (legal bios) with video support for XBOX v1.0-1.6b. It offers 4MB (mega bytes) of Flash Memory of which 3.7 MB is User Programmable. The chip has Hardware Protected Recover ROM - 256 kb used to return X-Lite to shipped state for recovery of bad flashes or corrupted BIOS's which comes in handy because there are no programmers to my knowledge for the chip. It is compatible with its big brothers 4MB bios as well so you can simply flash it via the HTTP feature if you currently have your settings all programmed.
