I recently bought a xbox off ebay. It was broken the dvd drive wasnt working so i obught a new phillips one and installed that and now that works fine. but my problem is that you will start playing a game and the xbox will jsut shut off. and then in order to power it up again you must press the eject button and not the power button unless you unplug it. Also when you plug it in it jsut turns on. I wasnt sure where to put this post so i jsut stuck it here. sorry if its in the wrong place. im thinking of trying to wipe the hard drive. yo know jsut open up the xbox hard drive then go through and delete everything. not sure what that will do but any help wold be highly appreciated.
