Hi y'all. My modded xbox has been working fine for several months now, and last week, I was unable to connect to it. I checked the router, checked the cabling, but to no avail. I opened up my xbox and noticed that the yellow and green LED's were not flashing as they normally do when the system is powered up. Everythingelse on the xbox works fine. Is it possible that the NIC got fried?
On a side note, my xbox has this funky problem of shocking people, at random times you'll get a rub-your-feet-on-the-rug type shock. I don't know if the two things are related. Do I need to buy a new mobo or is there a fix for this problem?

You can get shocks like that from most devices, that are not grounded, so I don't think that is the problem...

I would suggest you try another cable too, just to be sure, because frying NIC's doesn't happen that often.

Maybe you could try hooking it up to a hub og switch, so you can test from two ends.

yeah, I replaced the cable with another one that I know works and still no. I think I'll just have to replace the mobo, although I'm leary of doing that because if the same problem causes the NIC to go down, then putting in a new mobo will only buy time. However, my xbox was refurbished, so that may have something to do with it.
