I have a couple questions for anyone who is very familiar with these chips...

1. All the pictures I have seen of the 2.6 show "x2.6" on one of the corners. Are all genuine Xecuter 2.6CE chips supposed to have that on the chip?

2. Some pictures I have seen show the bottom of the x2.6 chip to be red in color and not white like the top of the chip. Is this always the case?

It is late here on the east coast so we have not done much testing, but after an initial install of the xapter and 2.6CE something seems to be very very wrong. No LEDs lighting up and although we havent tested the voltage of the LPC with the Xapter on yet (will do this tomorrow), the chip seems to be less than authentic.

Any feedback from anyone familiar with these chips would be greatly appreciated...and if it matters my buddy purchased his chip from system-mods.

his xbox is an older one... I think 1.1 so it is definitely not a 1.6 issue.

Thanks in advanced.

2.6 chips are white, 2.6ce are red. If the chip isn't getting power your adapter isn't lined up, either keep trying or solder it.

Thanks. I plan to check the voltage (with your sig link) tomorrow and make sure there is continuity. If there is...then I guess we need to further investigate whether or not the chip is to blame.

Thanks for the response.

EDIT: is there a difference between the 2.6 and 2.6CE besides color?

They come with I think flashbios 3.03 and the connector for the 5v on a 1.6 is now a connector instead of a pin.

My 2.6ce came with 3.0.1 flash bios. But it does have the 5v outlet for the 1.6 install.
