Ok, here's the deal : not sure if this is strictly a hardware issue, but I got my xbox modded quite a long time ago, and recently have found several EA Sports games (Fifa 2004,2005, Madden NFL 2004) to run significantly faster on my xbox than other peoples, both modded and original. When I say run faster, I mean that the actual gameplay is noticeably quicker, animations etc. making the games much less fun as they are too fast to play properly.
Does anyone know what the hell is going on?

Think i might have figured out the problem though actually, could be PAL/NTSC thing - ive got a PAL xbox, but i run it in NTSC mode for the HDTV output support (play it on a TFT with a nifty true res converter, damn M$ for thinking none of us brits have decent technology). If the versions i tried were all PAL (at least 1 was definitely) then the 10 Hz differential might explain the speed change...I will investigate further.
