I have been seeing a load of question everyday about how to flash aladdin's with 49LF020A.

Easiest way to flash the 49LF020A is by adding the following commands to your evox.ini

Flash = 0xbf61,"SST - 49LF020",0x40000
Flash = 0xbf52,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000
Flash = 0xdab0,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000

Just add them and you should be able to flash your 49LF020A with no problems
Also you can try HackDaBox or sunday chip flash, they work just aswell you can get them at the usual places.

Thanks to HackDaBox for the following guide refering to what bios to use on what chip and the bios size

ALADDIN (XBOX V1.0 - v1.5) X2 4981.06 (256K)
ALADDIN (XBOX V1.6 SAMSUNG RAM) EVOX M8 V1.6 (256K)
ALADDIN (XBOX V1.6B HYNIX RAM) EVOX M8 PLUS V1.6 (256K)

SPIDERCHIP (XBOX V1.0 - v1.5) X2 4981.06 (256K)
SPIDERCHIP (XBOX V1.6A - v1.6B) EVOX M8 PLUS V1.6 (256K)

DUOX 2 (XBOX V1.0 - v1.5) X2 4981.06 (512K)
DUOX 2 (XBOX V1.6A - v1.6B) EVOX M8 PLUS V1.6 (512K)

What about the ROM info?

Had an Xbox v1.6a and flashed a Aladdin Advance XT with M8plus_16_IGR.bin using the above and the IGR would have to be pressed constantly roughly 4-5 times in a row in order for the bios to finally register I wanted to reset my system. Flashed multiple times with different bioses, even switched controllers. Turns out I didn't have the proper ROM info in my evox.ini.

Did some reading in EvolutionX forum, found I had to enter the following ROM info in evox.ini. Once this was added and I reflashed IGR works flawlessly on first try.

ROM = "EvoX M8 Plus 16",0x58B8782501983725F984499620CA342B

Hmm Refelashing your chip is what fixed your problem not adding a ROM line. This is personal preference but i don't bother anymore trying to add all the ROM lines to my evox.ini becuase everytime you change the logo colours or something you have to make a new ROM line and it makes no difference to anything apart from EVOX displaying your BIOS name instead of unknown.

HackDaBox !

The Rom line does not make any difference to the bios only to what is displayed on evoxdash. You can make it say whatever you want but I usually do not bother.
You only need to cut and paste the line where it says current and mod it with whatever text you need anyway.

All that rom line does is give it a name thats it.

Guess mine didn't like to be unnamed lol.

Well guess the 3rd flash was a charm. Won't be messing with these Aladdins anymore thats for dam sure.
