ok so i have recently soft modded my xbox and i have found that sometimes i would rather my xbox start up with the dashboard instead of loading the game.....is there anyway that i could do this?....right now i am using unleashX but if it was neccessary i would switch dash's so that i could do this...any sort of key combination that i need to press to make it do this?...thanks in advance

check your settings in unleash. turn autoload to off.

once you load up settings you'll see a bunch of different sub settings to choose from. i think it's in the very top one, but i forget what it's called (maybe main settings ?? i know there's network, video, storage, etc.)

it'll automatically launch to the dash if you have autoload off.

funny....cus its not.....i have all of the autoloads off and it still boots the game...could it be different cus my box is soft modded and doesnt have a chip in it?

I would imagine that's the issue, cuz i knwo my X3 doesnt boot to games when i put em in. Without a chip i dont even know how you would get like shortcut buttons (if i hold L during boot it goes right to XBMC instead of unleashX but tha's an X3 thing).

Unfortunately for your case, The xbox will by default boot the disk first.

Its actually the bios that determines this. If there is a executable present in the DVD drive it will always go to this first when the system boots up.

The autolaunch feature found in some dashboards pertains to what happens when a specific type of disk is put into the drive. Changing this option doesnt overide the bios.
