After recently having problems with game discs not loading, they do now seem to load but the problem would appear that they are running slow. Between the into movies, the game will hang and take a while to load the next one and in republic commando when i select an option from the menu it takes a while to load it up.

Now i am using Verbatim DVD-R and RiData DVD-R to burn to so i don;t know why they are not working. I can still backup to the hard drive fine and the copies work so that is not a problem, but i would like the cd version to work fin aswell.

Any one have any ideas to the cause of the problem?

Try using layout files to ensure your backup disc has the files in the same layout as the original. This can make a huge difference to the loading speed of many games. See http://layouts.xbox-scene.com/

Using a layout file for my version of Brothers in Arms has certaintly made a good copy, maybe its just becuase the games i have tried just recently have been difficult to make copies of maybe. Anyway thanks for referring me to using layouts.
