Does it matter while soldering my resistor to LED which way the resistor is going its 100 ohm?

Also what type of wire should i use could someone give me a product number for radioshack please im really dumb when it comes to electronics?

I use 30awg wire (same as you use for a mod chip intallation)

I also dont think you always have to have a resistor? I have done several without the resistor. So I dont think its a must.

Oh and the 30awg wire you can get at any Radio Shack or electronics store. You could probally go a little bigger with the 22awg if you wanted to be safe since you are worried about the actual soldering.
