Good Lord, Help Hot Swapping Huge Prob... Options

Hey just new to this forum, all shit is going wrong for me atm, i had it all set up sweet im doing softmodd setting up evox doing bert and enrie font shit, and anyway i got that error for hdd driver where u have to use winhex to fix up, i did that was restoring the first backup and then something got knocked and now i cant get hdd driver to recognise my hdd, and i dont think the xbox will go into the dash to unlock hdd, and the only way i can get the comp to detect it is through a serrillel adapter, ARGHH its not my xbox either plz help!
