Can somone pls tell me where i can find out on controlling the order of xbe's. The msdash works fine from evox, but if i try to boot with chip off, it fails to error screen.

It's in the bios. You ned xbtool to edit the boot order.

when the chip is off, your xbox will boot C:\xboxdash.xbe and that's it. if you're getting the error, your drive might not be locked? either that or perhaps you patched the xboxdash.xbe file with something? (region free etc)

is it only the default.xbe, xboxdash.xbe and msxboxdash.xbe that need changing around?

what are the .xip files for?

xboxdashdat.du
xboxdashdata.1

and it worked...can some pls explain what thesae are?
