xbmp has probably corrupted your eeproms.
if you are softmodded, i'm not sure of a way out of it. buying a chip may be the only solution.
you would need a non-eeprom dependant chip. then once installed you can reflash your backup of your eeprom (don't tell me you don't have a backup of your eeprom
you should know not to mess with eeprom related settings in xbmp. eeprom corruption is a well known problem so you should have been smarter. infact you should be using xbmc now anyway.
