Depends on the game. They average from 1.5 to 4.5 GB

games like Halo 2 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are large (around 5 gig)

You can get Splinter Cell from around 5.36 gig to a small 2.9gig (around abouts) though

Probably the average game size is around 2.5gb, so divide the hdd size by 2.5 for a rough estimate.

Take the size of your hard drive, subtract about 10Gb due to partitioning, then divide that by about 2.5Gb (about average size per game) to figure out how many games will fit on that drive.

Example:
80Gb - 10Gb = 70Gb usable
70Gb / 2.5 = 28 games

The number will vary since older games are generally smaller and newer games are larger.

Don't forget...HDs are advertised with base 10 values. 250G HD really only has 233G of space to start with. Subtract the 8G off that for the C,E,X,Y,Z drives as well. Then divide by 2.5 or whatever you think. I find 2G to be a fairly common average with deletions.
