Got my X3CE back in febuary, installed it and it worked just fine. Today when I tried starting up my xbox I didn't get any light in the X3CE Control Panel. After several tries I decided to open up the xbox to check.
So I have now checked all solders, they are ok. Even traced with multimeter, no problems. I have also checked cables, same thing. All ok.
If I install the original harddrive and run it, it works fine.

The chip has the blue light on (5V), no 3,3V light and no red/green light (proteced/unproteced). Looks to me like the chip itself is dead. Got it from modchipman, anyone got any experince with them when things break?

Just to add, I haven't done anything with the xbox since I installed the chip. Except updating to the 3029 BIOS. But it has worked just fine for weeks after that.

Anyone got any ideas? Not sure what more I can test here now. Maybe I should just order a new one...crap!

Might add that I also have a XIR v2 beta installed. But it worked with that before also. Have tried removing that, same thing.

Crap! sad.gif
