To add more info to this, and make it more organized:
Xbox v1.6 Xenium chip, with the 2.4.0 OS EvoX BIOS (though I'm not 100% sure on that) XBMC and/or EvoX Dashboard Linksys WRT54G Router (hardwired, Xbox is on a staticIP) FlashFXP (latest build) and/or C-box Tool (2.0.6)
As stated before: When I attempt to FTP or rip games from or to my Xbox it will lockup. More specifically, it appears my Xbox locks up (I notice that the ticker in the upper right hand corner of XBMC stops and the controller doesn’t respond); I have to reboot it. And what’s weirder is that my PC looses all internet connection, requiring me to reboot my PC. Now I’ve tried both the XBMC and the EvoX dashboard, and I have the same result, so that doesn’t seem to be the factor. I’ve also tried C-box Tool and QWiz tool and I have the same problem. I’ve also tried with the Passive settings on and off in the various apps with no success. Could it be a defect with my Xbox somewhere?
I am also very confused about my Norton AV 2005 reporting that it detects ‘backdoor trojans’ incoming from my Xbox. Why would it think this? I thought maybe it was my Norton that was doing it, so I completely turned off my Norton and it still freezes when transferring to/from the Xbox. Aside from the fact that Norton doesn’t appear to be the issue, why would it say this? Could there be something rogue on my Xbox or could something be trying to get in by passing through my Xbox (since I have it configured for internet access)?
Again, any help would be appreciated.
