Oh Crap.......am I Screwed?, xboxhdm problem Options

not sure what happened.

Intro - I accessed an old 1.0 box (D:4034) with the 007 game save, then ftp'd over the newer softmod exploits and the dashupdate.xbe. backed up the C drive, ran the dash update (got the Live tab) and installed the softmod/unleashX. then Ftp'd the whole box drive to pc and made the recovery CD for/from xboxhdm.
Put an 80 gig in the pc and formatted C, D, and F, then copied everything over from the recovery CD.

Problem - when I went to lock the hd, I was in the dos screen and decided I wanted to go the linux route instead. I was already at the enter PW to lock screen and I hit "q" to quit. AND THE MUTHAFUDGER LOCKED! and told me the pw was "Q0". I thought "oh $H!#, I better savelog just in case".....can't remember exactly what happened after that, but I've tried the dos, atapwd, and linux unlock features using q, q0, Q, Q0, the original (8gig) PW/key and the new (80 gig) PW/key, and nothing works. the log says "Q0" is the pw, but the programs only accept 0-9 and a-f.

should I get the 10lb sledge?
