A friend of mine installed linux on my xbox and someone was messing with it and accidentally formatted my e:drive. Now my dashboard never comes up and dvds don't work and games take forever to start playing. I know that I have lost my saved games , and I don't care about that anymore. How can I get a new dashboard?

if you have broadband check out http://slayer.xbox-scene.com

It is an Evox auto install boot cd with extra stuff so be carefull use V2.6 I think it has an option to just reformat E and put the stuff on there.

Slayer's Auto-installer is a really easy way to install or recover a "retail" configuration on a formatted drive. I recommend it for getting your MS Dash/C and E drives fixed up, but try and avoid doing the full install because it has a lot of outdated apps/bioses that you don't want.
