I can't see any files while in Xenium Os trying to ftp from my comp

I can can access as my ftp client connects and shows the partitions but when I click inside of any of the (C: D: E: F:) folders I see no files.

Do I have to have a bios says m8plus launched first before I can use the xeniums built in ftp server?

There is a bunch of stuff on the HD The HD is not bad This is 120gig hardrive preformatted with my other xbox. Any help would be great Thanks

A lot of ppl have the same problem. Make sure you are using flashfxp and try starting it with the eject button. If that doesn't work, just load up a dashboard with a built in ftp server and use that. The xos ftp server is buggy.

Nah, it's not buggy, it's just not feature complete.. IE, it doesn't support ls -a. Disable "Show all/hidden files" (Or, if your using flashfxp, set the list mode to default) and all should be well. In any case, XOS's FTP isn't really made for any heavy lifting, so once you get a dash on there, as acemilo said, use its ftp tongue.gif

Why.. it's in preferences:

And no, you can't ftp while playing a game. You need to be booted to a dash/other xbox app that supports FTP.. games do not wink.gif

Then what the fucks the purpose for xeniums built in ftp
I figure you could access the xbox at all time no matter what your doing playing games or emus

I just don't see the use of xenuim's ftp server if it is not global.

I know you need a dash to assign an ip but if the modchip is giving the ip then why wouldn't you be able to access thexbox while playing a game

Oh guru thanks for the setting change!

Thanks

Once the chip loads the bios into the xbox's memory.. it no longer does anything at all. In fact, you could remove the chip from the xbox while playing a game.. and continue playing wink.gif

In any case, the point of having a chip with built in FTP out of the box is to make it insanely easy to install a dash/etc without the need of burning a CD. It also serves as a legal method to access the content on an xbox hard drive (No hacked bios needed!).

I only use the ftp in the xos for ftping the bios I wanna flash to the hd, then after that I flash the bios then set up my instant boot options, then never look at the xos again.
