Direct Spec Compairson, Xbox360, Playstation3, Revolution Options

I not a fanboy for anyone.  It just makes sick to think that people are so sold out to one system that they lose all logic.  I'm thrilled about all the systems coming out.  I will (wife willing) purchase them all.  I like to have a variety.

I just don't see why people hate (insert hated console here) so much.  Usually for no good reason!

I just don't like the sony platform for this generaton because of poor HW and no games that I like plus the controller of pain.

In this next gen they SEEM to have changed.
I'm not loyal to one system, I went from sega (master system) to nintendo (snes) to sega (mega drive) to nintendo (N64 - my favourite) to MS (xbox) and now to sony/ms.

look at the size comparison from ign...
PS3 = About 13.5" x 3.25"  xbox360 = About 10.25" x 2.5"

our lovely xbox is smaller than the PS3   suck on that japan...

i thought the ps3 looked a little big but i didnt really think anything of it because it was an asian guy holding it up, andi thought it was some kind of optical illusion.

Edit: where are all those people that were saying the 360 is huge.

True this is what Sony HOPES the console will do once design work on the GPU is finished (which is really the lynch pin of the whole thing).

Xbox specs are near final with the final kits reflecting those specs coming out this month.

Becides FLOP raitings are about as useless as GHz raitings the current Gen Xbox has about 10times the FLOPS of the PS2. Yeah the graphics are better but I would hardly consider them 10 times better... The GC barely has anymore than the PS2 and the graphics on that are far superior... The only real measurement is the efficency in which the developers can utilize the hardware at hand...

As I've always said... you can shit in one hand and wish in the other and see which one gets filled first

Xbox is coming out with the games I want, so I will purchase a 360. thats my decision.

Revolution will have less HW then the xbox 360, it has to be to fit into 3 DVD cases....

Sure they will, you'll just have to stream them to the X360 from a device which does have a HD-DVD or Bluray drive, or use multiple HD DVDs.

I take issue with the chart in the top post though; since when has November been Q3 and 'Spring' been Q2? That should read Q4 for the X360 and Q1 for the PS3, no?

The two consoles could both launch within a 6 week window, 4 moths apart maximum if Sony don't slide into a Summer 2006 release.
