Howdy everybody, I am running evox on my V1.0 with a Matrix and a BIOS I flashed from LPT about 2 months ago. I want to update to this new BIOS so I don't have to worry about game patching. Last time, my last xbox I fried my eeprom by using the wrong tool to flash the BIOS. My understanding is it is very easy to flash a BIOS with evox. Can somebody give me BIOS flashing 101? I want to make sure I don't fuck up this BOX too!
Thanks tongue.gif

FTP the bios you want to your box, to the bios folder on C. then on evox, go to settings --> flash bios. you select the bios you want, and press flash. Make sure you have a 256k bios if you have a matrix or other 256k chip, and a 1 meg bios if you have a 1 meg chip like PCbioxx, X2L or Pro or any other 1 meg chip. the end.

Hmm, don't see this option in settings? Am I blind? Could it somehow be removed from the evox.ini sad.gif

the reason you dont see the option is because you must have used the slayers install CD.

When i had a matrix I had problem flashing using evox. So I used the matrix bios flash tool. Can't rember if that the real name of it but I have it at home.

I found it worked fine with no problems for me. Also do you have to change the dip switches on the matrix to flash it? Can't rember been a long time since i used one, look in manual to make sure.

The matrix has to be in Mode 4 to be flashed. Both dip switches should be off.
