i cant burn at 1X speed on dvd+r using nero. whats the deal? is it my burner? my dvds? or nero?

most burners have a minimal limit.
the lowest mine will burn is at 4x

It probably is the burner, the software will burn at what your burner will accept.

May want to try and upgrade your dvd-+rw's firmware. Also some people say that burning a DVD at the actual media's rated speed, will produce better results, as the media's dye has been optimized for that specific speed. Run a pie/pif test from dvdinfo pro, and you might can judge for yourself.

Why do you want to burn at 1x..Its true that at lower speeds is better but 2x/4x are good speeds.

1x would take sooooooooooooooooo long!

I get impatient at 2x, so normally do it at 4x lol

Isn't 1x like 1 meg a second or around that? dry.gif
