Well the slim ps2 overheats and I think there's only one fan inside. I mean come on sony you at least need to put an exhaust fan in there.

there's a difference between overheating and getting hot.

This is the main item in this line of product that is supposed to last years for MS, they obviously will make sure it wont overheat. Like in the current xbox, it shutdowns when it gets too close to dangerous heat levels (im assuming so since it is a pretty basic feature)

Cromat is right it will have a auto shutdown if it gets too hot I bet

the 360 is not water cooled like most people think, in water cooling there is a bunch of components that are bulky(also they have to be refilled with more water ever so often), but with heat pipes they are much smaller and also produce no noise, but that are terrible at cooling that's why if you have seen the colony vid there is two fans on the heat pipe.
oh here's a pic of a heat pipe

with the 360 the pipe folds over instead of it going to a 90

It could overheat if you leave the xbox 360 on too long, I'm not talking hours, I'm talking DAYS wouldn't your xbox 360 be a nice toaster if you left it on for 2 months? Okay... I bet the Xbox 360 would run maybe a couple of days before overheating, but I don't know anyone who does that, correct me if I'm wrong, cause I'm just thinking...
