hi, i am having a little difficulity with my xbox. the dashboard on its original hard drive somehow became corrupt, and the xbox booted with an error 21. to resolve this problem, i figured that i needed to do a fresh installation of the dash, except that xbox had no mod chip, so any writing to the drive couldnt be done. I then proceeded to remove the eeprom from that box and put it into another box that i had that did have a mod chip. i formatted the hard drive, and installed the original dash, but when i went to remove the eeprom again, some of the terminals broke. I have another eeprom chip that i put into the old box, but it just comes up blinking red, im assuming because the eeprom is incompatiable. Is there anyway to flash the eeprom in the unmodded xbox to get the xbox functioning again? I know this seems pretty stupid, but it was the only way i could think of to get around the hard drive locking problem. Thank you ahead of time for any advice.

thats weird. it should display an error code if it doesnt work. without that, its a bit hard to tell what is wrong with it.

is there no chance of getting the old eeprom in?
