I need two 240v Xbox power supplies, preferably in Australia. I'm willing to do a direct swap for two 120v power supplies.

Sorry, but I don't really wanna let go of a power supply until I have something to replace it with. Don't want an Xbox with no P/S

As far as I know, neither of my 120v power supplies will work off 240v.
The first 120v Xbox I had I plugged into 240v (No, I'm not really that stupid, but there was a mis-communication with my brother. Long story...) and it blew the big capacitor. That PS had no fuse. I managed to replace the capacitor, no big deal. My second 120v PS has a fuse, but I've never tried it in 240v. This one actually has a sticker on it (the 1st didn't) with specs. It states input power as 100-127v~2.5A The fuse that was originally in the PS was rated at 1A 250v. But that fuse blew, so I replaced with another 1A fuse, but that blew again (went through 3 of those). So I went up to 1.25A, and the fuse hasn't blown yet. I've just read your tutorial about replaced the fuse, and I really can't believe that the Xbox PSes have 15A 250v fuses in them. I know with 100% certainty that my Xbox PS had a 1A 250v fuse in it. Perhaps you thought the fuse read 15A, when in fact it read 1.5A The decimal point is quite easy to miss. D Zero VIBE |

no 15a is correct for the fuse, those i hold it in my hand and i have replaced many fuse's. 2nd the capacitor is a bitch to get cause i tried replacing it and they put in the code and listed unknown vendor. so you lucked out on the part =/. 1.5a rating would be really tiny for a PS rating seeing that most small electronics with 30gauge wires have that rating to 3a.

Seems strange, 'coz I know for sure that the fuse in my PS was 1A, and the PS is now running fine with a 1.25A~250v fuse.
You're right, the capacitor wasn't that easy to find. You won't find it at Radio Shack D Zero VIBE |
