Xombe posted that
booting my xbox with the good updatable bios then switching the banks from 2 (good) to 1 (corrupt) then hit whatever selection of flashing I want ok afther booting with the good bios then switching banks the cromwell bios version wont change it looks like im updating a bios with the cromwell from bank 2(good) but with the switch on bank 1 right? so if the flashing goes bad, it went to bank 1 (corrupted ) and still have a bank 2 free to re-flash again? right? can somebody confirm this for me? im trying to flash a 512k bios im paranoic at this time I just dont wanna loose this probably last chance to do a good flash thank you |

Yes..Whatever bank is selected will get flashed...It doen't matter which one you boot to aslong as before flashing you move the switch to the other bank...The good bank will remain untouched.

even if you do flash the wrong bank. your then gonna be able to boot unsigned code, so jus use an app like flashx to flash the other bank.
