I thought id pull apart, my xbox and see if the pot adjustment made any difference on my dvd rom, seeing it doesnt seem to want to read much ... the problem arised when i was pulling apart the xbox ... no problem with the first 5 torx screws, though of course there had to be a problem with the last of them, just seems as if the screwdriver just spins, doesnt seem to catch anything ... it is a 2nd hand xbox, and i guess the torx must be worn a little, is there anything i can do ...

make sure your using the right torx. torx 20 to open and a torx 10/15 on the inside (i forget, i havent used my torx set in ages, i just keep my lid unscrewed and lost the screws for the dvd rom drive and such.)

A blunt kitchen knife seems to work just as good as a torx wrench, seriously.
If you'd like, get a kitchen knife and break the tip off.
