Hold the power button down for a couple seconds when you turn it on. It should boot to the hacked bios (or at least FlashBIOS).

With all things taken into account, a surefire way to know if it's been modded is to actually go and open your xbox and see if there a chip off to the left. But, opening an xbox is probably something you've been trying to avoid if you paid for a premodded one.

Below the DVD drive. Middle of the case, on the lefthand side (when looking at the front). You'll have to remove the HDD first before you can remove the DVD drive.

And you can't just take off the faceplate. Open the case like this: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/open1.php

I did do what u did, i can ssee the mod chip now. Its a duox 2 Lite. 2 yellow wires are sticking out from one end. 1 goes to the power button, the other goes to the motherboard near the nvidia chip.

Do you always see the text "MICROS.FT" at the botton of the boot screen below the big "X" logo, no matter how you power on?

Try to start it with the eject button, I think those use the power button for regular ms bios, and the eject to boot from the modchip bios.

hmm, just checked the documentation and it would appear to be just the opposite to the way I said.

Duox
