i just ordered a spiderchip, downloaded the M8_plus bios thingies and would like to know what these bois can do. Im also wondering if you can solder the wires even though the chip is solderless.

That Bios you got will allow your box to run unsigned code. (Dashboards such as Avalaunch , EvoX, etc.... Yes you can solder the wires into the motherboard...

Just be sure you got the right version bios file for your xbox...


Spider chip can handle only 256kbs but you could try flashing the TSOP which handles more than that i think 1.0 boxs can handle 1mb bios & the others 512 or 256 not sure.... just do some research... good luck beerchug.gif

Yes you can solder the chip in and infact you really should as you will get a much better connection that way and you shouldn't have any problems.

Make sure you flash the right bios ...

Xbox V1.0 - V1.5 use X2 4981.06

Xbox V1.6 - V1.6b use Evox M8 Plus V1.6
