Inserting Custom Cars Into Gta Sa., Converting pc cars to xbox ones! Options

This tutorial will teach you how to insert custom vehicles in San Andreas.

What you will need:
Txd Workshop 3.5
IMG Tool
A modded xbox with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the HDD.

Ok, let's get started.

1. Download a car of your choice, I am using the Hummer H2.

2. Open up the landstal.txd in txdworkshop, is should look like this:

Then hit save.



3. Open up gta3.img (GTA SA/Models/gta3.img) with the IMG Tool and hit f2 (find) and find the landstal.txd and landstal.dff, select landstal.txd, right click and select replace. Do the same for landstal.dff. Then go commands -> rebuild archive.



4. Open handling.cfg (GTA SA/Data/handling.cfg) and replace the landstal line with the one usually provided in the readme. Save.

5. Then open carcols.dat (GTA SA/Data/carcols.dat) and replace the landstal line with the one usually provided in the readme. Save.



6. Now ftp into your xbox and search where gta is stored on the HDD.
Then replace : handling.cfg (GTA SA/Data/handling.cfg), carcols.dat (GTA SA/Data/carcols.dat) and gta3.img (GTA SA/models/gta3.img).

Clear your cache (x,y,z) an boot up San Andreas with your new cars!

nevermind about that post. i got the img tool and the gta3.img but i cant open it there. it gives me an error about it not finding a DIR file.

The gta3.img is in the "GTA San Andreas/models/gta3.img"

What setting do you save it under so it shows up on the game? Is it the Vice city one?

Can i BURN VERYTHING TO A CDRW AND USE FILEMANAGER. Sorry for the caps. I use cd for trainers so i thought this was similar. if so can you give a tut for that. Thanks.

ive tryed it is way but the cars never show up in the game even when to put in a spawn cheat is there an update to the img tool that converts to SA xbox ?

I'd like to know this as well, as this is the same problem I'm having. Really wish I could get it working..

You guys probably aren't clearing your cache. Use REPLACE when u replace a car, not delete and add, and then when you ftp gta3.img over to your xbox, or whatever file it is, clear X,Y, and Z, and you might also want to clear E:/Cache

Oh, okay, save as Vice City XBox and the textures work fine. Too bad that model I had looks so great but cuts my FPS down to about 1/sec. Weapon replacement models still look great. Thanks for the guide.
