this should be in general hardware.. not hardware modding. wink.gif

and btw.. the problem you're having is a heating issue. flashing orange means your shit's getting too hot and it's shutting down to protect itself.. you should notice the fan speed increase as well, as the xbox kicks it up to 100% speed to help cool it down faster.

what all mods have you done to your box?

sounds a heating issue.

if its gettign hot enough to do that, then the consistant hot temps may be slowing damaging your xbox. in your case, id reccomend getting a new 80mm quiet fan, and runnign it off 12v. you wont have any heating problems again

get a multimeter and seeing what the voltage that fan is getting, should be 5v 7v or 12v. then just connect the positive lead to whatever voltage that is and see if its the fan or the pins

My GPU fan is much quieter than the big fan. Besides, replacin the fan is cheap. I bought mine from someone on the forum (Perplexer I think) for only $5. Besides, FaNs R c00L!

Goto the main page, hit up the tutorials section. Then I believe it's under other, or general hardware. You will find a tutorial that details all the errors. It's good to save in a document, and refer to in the future wink.gif
