I can hear the flubber animation when my box boots, but there is no sound. The light is steady green.
Then it flashes green for a while.
Then the screen flashes and the LED frags.

It's a hard modded box w/ a 120 GB HDD.

I also have the same problem, it started after I accidentally changed the xbox over to pal, and finished when I treid correcting the problem through xmbp (by attempting to read the flashing screen) the xbox froze after settigns were being changed then this happened. Tired ftp-ing into it wiht no avail, probaly because it resets after a few seconds. It seems liek it doesnt even get to loading the dashboard, as if teh default xbe is damged in some way. Tho, you cant even boot evox, or anythign alon those lines from cd, so the problem may be more than that. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thnx.

Which modchip?

If it is an Xecuter 3, try going in to the config live by holding down the white button after starting the xbox.

Same thing happened to me last night. I had sound but no video. It happened after i had turned off 480p in the dashboard. I was able to fix the problem by blindly going to the dashboard and turning 480p back on. Wasnt easy as I had nothing on screen and had to guess which menu i was on. Managed to do it though!

If you are using component (HD) cables, try the svideo or composite cables.
