My softmodded xbox retail hd is going out can I use another retail from my chipped box to replace it?

it must be locked with the xbox's eeprom of the box its going into.

OK how do i get the other xbox eeprom on to hdd drive i have it backupped and on my pc already thanks in advance and for the quick reply

put the hd in the chpped box, use config magic to lock the drive using the eeprom of the xbox.
