This has probally been done before , but I spent alot of time on it and figured you guys might appreciate it .

Specs

v1.0 tsopp (rednoani xecuter2 bios)
40 gig wd upgrade
128 meg ram upgrade thanx to Perplexer ( he is the man get your ram upgrades from him )
added 60mm fan to top of box to keep it cool
soldered the power on contacts for always on feature
23" tv
2 pelican arcade sticks tournoment edition

Cost

wood , screws , and filler: $60
xbox: $70 shipped (error 16 off ebay)
ram upgrade: $80 ( well worth it ,added about 400 games to my mame list)
23" tv: $70 ( clearance at bestbuy)
2 pelican arcade sticks: $90 (after tax at gamestop)
Black enamel paint 1 gallon: $25
40gb hard drive: free ( sitting around )
light for marquee: $10
marquee vinyl print: $40
plexiglass: free ( friend hooked it up )
switch, wire , and power strip: $15
lock for back: $5
Advice of forum members here: free , thanx guys biggrin.gif

Total: $465

It all starts with a flick of a switch that I mounted on top of the machine . That provides power to the power strip and then everything turns on automatically ( tv, light, and xbox ) . It then boots into a custom skinned avalaunch that provides you with options for all the emulators and some full version games . Everything has been tested and works perfectly ( thats a lot of games to play , lets just say that it is under 5000 tongue.gif ) .

Very nice and clean case! cool.gif
And although some might say you should have taken apart and built in the controllers,
I like the fact that you just put the entire controllers in there and keep
everything reusable. Always good to keep future modding options open wink.gif

Awesome work man I love building xbox arcades with real arcade brand joysticks. heres a bit of info though, it looks and plays even better if you remove the real arcade switches on the inside and replace them with genuine cherry brand switches (its soo easy to do) and I recommend actually taking the whole arcade sticks apart only use the components trash the casing and install them in a solid control panel then use col cathodes from underneath them to light the buttons since they are clear. Awesome job man!!
